i was completely underwhelmed with my stay. waiting an hour for fish and chips is unacceptable, especially with the noise from the hot water system. a complimentary treat would have been nice since i had to endure that! and breakfast in a windowless room? that’s rich, considering the sunshine outside! i almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

lovely decor, intimate atmosphere, charming village location
The ensuite was a bit cramped, with the door nearly striking the sink!!! Navigating through roadworks in the village added frustration to my arrival. Wifi strength could use some improvement as well!!!

The food was outstanding, featuring delicious vegetarian options.
Unfortunately, our late check-in left a sour taste. One staff member's displeasure was obvious, impacting our comfort. The limited breakfast hours felt unreasonable, as many travelers need more flexibility.

missingWrote a review on 08 Febcozy atmosphereexceptional foodhard-to-find car parklimited breakfast hoursdistracting noise
The atmosphere was enhanced by a cozy fireplace, perfect for winter evenings, and the food was exceptional, particularly the grilled dishes which were cooked to perfection. Although the car park was tricky to locate in the dark and icy conditions, the warm welcome from the staff made up for it. the limited breakfast hours on weekdays might inconvenience some guests, and the noise from the pub quiz could be distracting if you prefer a quieter stay.
